THE UPLIFTING VERO G.


Veronica Gonzalez AKA Vero G. is a 34 year old, Latina, born and raised in the Lower East Side. She is a Singer/Songwriter/Model/Actress/Poet/TV & Radio Host/Screenwriter/Author. Her genre of music is R&B mixed with Soul. She has some experience with the music industry and the in’s and outs of how it works. She started to sing at the age of 7 years old. She has been a member of the JHS 22 School Choir, was a member in The Change Choir with Al Sharpton, and has received awards throughout her accomplishments (First Place Trophy for the Anti-violence Awareness, Certificate for Recognition). Her music is refreshing, upbeat, and lifting to others. She has gotten great reviews from all of her performances, and has been approached by the audience for encores. Her influences in music are Mary J Blige, Alicia Keys, Selena, and Mariah Carey. She had just released her first single “Addicted” ; it consists of an R&B style. And Her purpose of being a part of the music business is to encourage others to open up yourself, fulfill your dreams and goals, and explore your true talent as a gift for others to enjoy.


How has the New Year been for you so far as an artist?

This New Year has been well so far as an artist. I just released my latest single Got Me Going Crazy Ft Real Lyricez which is available on all digital platforms, and the music video is out now on Youtube. Working on new content with my music, be productive with my platforms in the Vero G. Spotlight Brand from TV, Radio, Magazine, and much more. Got more bookings for media with my team JM EMPIRE MEDIA and Gemini Stax, Got to be on an NYC media panel as a special guest, and I am nominated as Latin Artist of 2022 and Music Video of the year EN Mi Cama for the 6th LDM Music Awards. I am excited to see what else comes my way as an artist. Plus I am nominated for Producer of the year for my documentary Trials and Tribulations for 2022. Also my 5th ep album Energy will be released by this year.

Can you tell us how you've transformed from the beginning to now as an artist?


How I have transformed from the very beginnings to now as an artist, as seeing my growth and wisdom in my craft. To go hard in my music, bringing great content for all fans or supporters or anyone who wants to be inspired and motivated by my music. It has really molded me to be the person I am today.

How did you come up with your latest project?


My latest project Here I Am was something I felt was a calling. While we were in the Covid-19 phase I felt this album was a time to be made. By that time I put my thoughts together working with my engineer Wilson and making this album the best I had ever done. It was a transformation into the artist I am today and more great music to my supporters who deserve to hear new material.

Where are you from originally?


I was born and raised in the Lower East Side in Manhattan (East Village).

Where do you live now?


I was living in the Bronx for some time but moved back to my old neighborhood.

Do you think where you live impacts how your music is made?


Yes as an artist your environment does impact your music as the things that you see.

The issues that occur in your surroundings and how you can reflect that in your music and those who can relate to it as well.


What was the inspiration to make music your career?


The inspiration that made me make music into my career was life choices and seeing how music has helped me be healed and happy.

I felt it can be my life choice to make it a full-time career and put great music to be classic for all to appreciate.

How do you want to shape your career?


How I want to shape my career is by continuing my mission into helping others in their careers in the indie scene for artists, their voices to be heard, plus doing community work giving back is very big for me. To inspire others to pursue their dreams no matter what obstacles are in their way.

Do you work on a tight timeline always or do you go with the flow when it comes to your music?

With my process with my music, I feel I want to take my time with it. I don't want to rush my projects or any music because I want it to be perfect, plus I want my music to have feeling and purpose.

How did your latest title of your music come to be?


The latest title of my music and upcoming project Energy came about after seeing my growth as an artist and now it is my spiritual awakening to myself to those out there with this next project.

Is it hard to let go of the music when it is done?


Yes because each song I write and get done is a special part of me. I give to the world and feel the pain, and hurt. or happiness I am feeling. Do you feel an emotional attachment to your music?


Yes, each song or production put together is an attachment towards me emotionally as I pour my heart out so those can appreciate great content.

How would you describe your music in one word to someone who hasn't listened to it yet?
