Thank you for taking this interview! How has the New Year been for you so far as an artist? You’re welcome and thank you for having me. The new year has been really good, I feel like I’ve grown to a new level where I’m able to create better art with less pressure on myself. Can you tell us how you've transformed from the beginning to now as an artist? In the beginning I was still finding myself, I would try a bunch of new things and experiment to see what works and what doesn’t but now I know my styles and I’m locked in on my sound. Making music is more natural when you know yourself and your capabilities, so now I’m having a lot of fun while making art I’m extremely happy with. How did you come up with your latest project? As cliché as it may sound, I came up with my latest project due to heartbreak. I’m able to make a song sound happy even if it’s about pain I’ve experienced but I’m good now. Where are you from originally? I’m originally from Toronto, Canada but I started writing music when I lived in Brooklyn, New York. Where do you live now? I’m currently back and forth in Toronto and New York Do you think where you live impacts how your music is made? Most definitely! I personally don’t look at trends I always stick to my sound but if I lived in a different continent let’s say Australia, I’d assume I would adjust to that culture and do things a bit differently. What was the inspiration to make music your career? Back in 2017 a couple of my friends recognized my talent in singing and songwriting so they encouraged me to take it serious. Also my late grandfather was a professional songwriter, knowing that inspired me greatly to chase my dreams and know that what I want is possible. How do you want to shape your career? I want to shape my career into being a household name, I wanna touch the hearts of millions if not billions of people. My message in music is about love and knowing we should never give up, spreading love is everything. Do you work on a tight timeline always or do you go with the flow when it comes to your music? A bit of both, when I’m working with a producer and they send me a beat I don’t like to keep them waiting. I work really well under pressure but for the most part my music comes naturally and I’m able to produce at a faster pace than most, especially when it comes to the writing process. How did your latest title of your music come to be? My latest release is called “My All”, the title came to be due to my message within the song of letting my last love interest know that I gave her my all and nothing less. Is it hard to let go of the music when it is done? Yes and no, sometimes a song means so much to me and I wanna hold it back but other times I’m so eager to put it out for the world to hear it. Do you feel an emotional attachment to your music? Absolutely, my songs bring me back to moments in my life whether it be reminiscent of the past, good or bad and even sometimes insightful of what I wanted for myself in the future. I’ll listen to old songs like “damn that’s what I wanted” or “damn that’s how I was feeling” How would you describe your music in one word to someone who hasn't listened to it yet? Sexy! Where do they go to listen NOW? Spotify and Apple Music mainly What has been the best fan reaction to your music? I don’t know if I should answer this one…I’m kidding, uhh I’ve had so many amazing fan reactions to my music. There’s this one girl in particular that fell in love with my song “Gorgeous” and she sent me videos of herself and her mom both vibing to it. Is there anything exciting coming up for you? I’m planning on signing my first record deal soon, I’m pretty excited about that but that’s all I can say for now. Are you performing the song anywhere LIVE? Yes of course, I have a concert that should be sometime this summer in Toronto and I’ll be performing most of my catalog.
