Just when you thought R&B Soul was dead, along comes Nicholas Davis. My explanation of his voice would be of course like no other I have heard, no auto tune or special effects just raw talent and unique sound. If you take a old southern Baptist preacher that can tune, mix it with the best crooner, dash incredible range, sexiness, tone, passion, hurt and spirit it would equal out to be Nicholas Davis. This Atlanta native is definitely on his way to being one of the Greatest singers alive. As he fights through the challenges of being an independent artist he is definitely perfecting his Craft. I see so much growth since 2020 when he debuted with his self written single “Man Like Me”. 2021 he he came back with pure fire with another self-written single “Let’s Work It Out” that turned the spotlight on him. It gained the attention of the late great superstar Gerald Levert's fan base naming him Gerald Levert reincarnated. That same year he released a bonus single covering Leverts 1990s hit written by Gerald “Baby I’m Ready”, that earned him the respect of fans and other artists. With the ladies swooning all over him and the push of his fans, radio stations and social media Nicholas is showing no signs of slowing down. All I can say is ladies and gentlemen I introduce to you The Voice Mr. Nicholas Davis.

Thank you for taking this interview! How has the New Year been for you so far as an artist?

It has been great. I really don’t have any complaints. My only issue is really staying motivated and consistent. I have fans that’s always checking on me and encouraging me so I’m not talking about that. I’m talking about self motivation lol that’s my struggle, but I’m getting better at it. Also consistency is something I’m working on improving. Can you tell us how you've transformed from the beginning to now as an artist? Wow that’s a good question. My transformation would be that I stopped dreaming, wishing and talking about it, I got up off my ass and got my head out the clouds and made it happen. For so long it was just a conversation, thought and something on my bucket list. I finally made up my mind, did the research and just went after it and it worked. How did you come up with your latest project? All of my projects are all ready in my head and heart. See I was thinking about this moment for years so I have them predestined in me. Also all of my music is based on my life and experiences so it’s very easy because It’s so personal. I write and produce all my songs unless I’m doing a cover song. Where are you from originally? Atlanta Georgia I love and rep my city ATL Shawty lol Where do you live now? I currently reside in Warner Robins Georgia but I do have plans on moving back to Atlanta but not the city part. I absolutely hate the traffic OMG. Do you think where you live impacts how your music is made? No, because my music comes from my life and my heart. I’m my own influence and what I have learned, been through and experienced in my life. What was the inspiration to make music your career? My Grandmother Florence Smith. She kept me constantly around it. She loved live music, gospel R&B etc. She loved outdoor concerts and festivals. So I really didn’t have a choice lol. I became so fascinated with it so much I wanted to be on the stage with a band doing that music thing. So it grew on me. How do you want to shape your career? The right way. I want to be a legend. I want my music to transcend time. Just like the old school hits that’s considered played out but is sampled often. I want to be able to live off the fruits of my labor. I want my music to mean something, I want to impact someone’s life. I want to inspire people and help them realize if I can do it they can do it. Do you work on a tight timeline always or do you go with the flow when it comes to your music? Absolutely not, I’m very impatient but when it comes to my music I don’t want to be pressured and I don’t pressure my people. I don’t want it thrown together. I want to make sure it’s done right. I’m a perfectionist and I want things to be perfect or as perfect as it can be. So no pressure or rushing, do it right. How did your latest title of your music come to be? It came from a chapter in my life when I was a side piece aka sneaky link lol. I had actually started to catch feelings and started to fall for her. The chemistry was so strong and passionate and the sex was always amazing. It became something we both had to have. We had no problem taking the risk to see or be with each other. But I started to feel like I was being used for chemistry. I explain it all in my song. Is it hard to let go of the music when it is done? Hell No! I’m always a part of the mixing process. So once you hear the same song 1000 times in one session it’s very easy to let it go lol I do listen to it after it’s mixed mastered and released. It’s personal and I wrote it so I definitely relate to it. It’s a part of me, a piece of my heart and soul that I’m sharing. Do you feel an emotional attachment to your music? YES!!! I cried while recording “Let’s Work It Out”. I allow myself to go back to that raw place and I relive it all over again. I put all of my emotions together and I exploded in the booth. How would you describe your music in one word to someone who hasn't listened to it yet? REAL Where do they go to listen NOW? However they listen to music. I'm there ITunes Amazon etc don’t matter I’m on it baby. What has been the best fan reaction to your music? I would say the inboxes that I receive everyday, also the money lol some of them really support me. They go over and beyond, some buy merchandise like CDs and stuff. They buy multiple items and give them as gifts to their girlfriends and family. Now that’s love and support, that helps me get exposure and gain awareness. I don’t even ask them to do what they want to do and that’s awesome. I love it. Is there anything exciting coming up for you? Yes my new single called ASHLEY “USING ME” Are you performing the song anywhere LIVE? I’m working on my own show to promote my music. I have some requests but no deposits have been paid so I can’t give the details or info until everything has been paid. Give us all your socials and links so fans can link up with you!
