Thank you for taking this interview! How has the New Year been for you so far as an artist? You’re so welcome. The New Year is starting off really well. I’ve been invited to come and sing at various locations in different states. Can you tell us how you've transformed from the beginning to now as an artist? Wow! Yes, it’s certainly been a huge transformation for me both naturally and spiritually. I’ve grown as a woman and a woman of God. This growth has helped me be more confident in who God has called me to be and the songs that I write and sing. How did you come up with your upcoming project you're releasing SOON? I just released a self titled EP called KEZIA. It was so fitting because the style and writing of the songs really helps to hear who I am as an artist. There’s a little bit of everything on this EP. I love to be out of the box with my sound. And that’s what you will hear. Where are you from originally? Greenville, Mississippi and so proud! Where do you live now? Atlanta, GA Do you think where you live impacts how your music is made? Absolutely! What was the inspiration to make music your career? I really wanted to know what my purpose was in Christ. The Lord revealed to me that singing was one of my purposes in life. How do you want to shape your career? I want to shape my music career by growing in the areas that. I feel I could go to the next level. Do you work on a tight timeline always or do you go with the flow when it comes to your music? I do both when necessary. How did your latest title of your music come to be? I just released a self titled EP called KEZIA. It was so fitting because the style and writing of the songs really helps to hear who I am as an artist. There’s a little bit of everything on this EP. I love to be out of the box with my sound. And that’s what you will hear. Is it hard to let go of the music when it is done? Yes it is. I constantly go back and hear things that I could change. At some point you have to just say OK I AM DONE.. or you will never release anything lol Do you feel an emotional attachment with your music? Absolutely! I am so sensitive about my music and work. When you are birthing songs or anything for that matter, it’s something that you hold close to your heart. And it’s hard to let go or even share. I’ve learned that growth will help you in this area. On this latest project, I took what was so dear to me and shared it with other songwriters. We collaborated on each piece and came up with something wonderful. I was so glad that they heard my heart and were able to see the vision. It’s important to work with others who have the same heart and value what you carry. Amen. How would you describe your music in one word to someone who hasn't listened to it yet? HOPE. Where do they go to listen NOW? On all digital platforms. What has been the best fan reaction to your music? When I see someone out and about and they literally start to sing my music and know ALL the lyrics. Now that’s LOVE. Lol Is there anything exciting coming up for you? You know, I have exciting things coming up. Every door that God opens for me seems to be exciting. I never know where God is going to take me. It’s the mystery of it all that gets me excited. Open doors and new opportunities.. Yes, I am here for it! Are you performing the song anywhere LIVE? Yes, I will be performing in Atlanta.
