Medusa Odyssey have created their distinctive & unique brand of electronic live performances. True musicians at heart, they create their own music in their sets, producing it live with synthesizers, electric guitar, flutes, vocals and a drum machine.
Both hailing from Argentina, Medusa Odyssey have now been living & working in Ibiza for many years. Their music, deep house with a melodic tribal feel, is heavily influenced by their South American roots.
As their following continues to grow, during the last years their live performances impressed audiences at parties throughout Ibiza including Woomoon & Storytellers in Cova Santa, Heart Factory and Do not sit on the furniture at Heart, ElRow at Space & Amnesia, Pacha Ibiza, Ethereal Festival and Namaste in Las Dalias, Hostal La Torre, Elements, Casa Maca, Sunset Ashram and Beachouse.
Also in his concept with Bahramji as a collaborator has participated in 2019 at Echo Waves festival in Georgia, Iris Beirut - Lebanon, Rich Mix in London and private events in Cyprus in addition to traveling soon to Dubai to participate in Blue Marlin and Iris Dubai, and now in 2022 also coming back to Dubai to perform as headliners in Desert Groove Festival sharing stage with Guy Gerber, Be Svendsen among other great artists.
Their way of playing and experimenting with a fusion of electronic music with acoustic instruments has also seen them perform at festivals in Berlin, Moscow, Argentina, Barcelona, Madrid, Linz, Prague, Lithuania and India.
Medusa Odyssey has released tracks and collaborations with artists like Bahramji, Kintar having also remixes from Themba, Megablast, Goldcap, NhiI, Alinka, Concret in labels like Connected Frontline, Aluku Records, Exotic Refreshment and Afroterraneo Music. Those tracks were played by djs like Black Coffee and Nick Warren among others.
During 2022 they will release new Ep in colaboration with Iban Mendoza on Sudam Recordings.
Thank you for taking this interview! How has the New Year been for you so far as an artist?
This new year started amazing with good winter parties in Ibiza and some international events. We have produced music that will be released throughout the year and summer in Ibiza is starting to be busy and promising. Can you tell us how you've transformed from the beginning to now as an artist? We are constantly evolving, learning and improving our sound in productions and in our live performances. The events in which we participate have changed and our style has varied according to musical concerns. How did you come up with your latest project? It was the transformation of a previous project that was a band format and became a live act more adapted to the electronic scene. Where are you from originally? Argentina Where do you live now? IBIZA Do you think where you live impacts how your music is made? For sure Ibiza has an impact on our music, and is one of the capitals of the electronic Scene in the world.
What was the inspiration to make music your career? Express our soul with this art language and share it with everybody How do you want to shape your career? Give the best from us and continue in the way that we have been doing from the beginning till now. Do you work on a tight timeline always or do you go with the flow when it comes to your music?
Over the years it has been both ways depending on the time and circumstances.
How did your latest title of your music come to be? It was channelized. Is it hard to let go of the music when it is done? Not at all. Is good for us to let it go and share it. Its belongs to everyone. Do you feel an emotional attachment to your music? Yes, No doubt. Our inspiration comes from our feelings and emotions. How would you describe your music in one word to someone who hasn't listened to it yet? VIBE Where do they go to listen NOW? On all the digital platforms, when others Djs play our tracks. And for sure in our gigs. What has been the best fan reaction to your music? The best for us is to see the people dancing, smiling and having fun and that is what always happen. :) Is there anything exciting coming up for you?
