Where are you located now and where are you originally from? Currently I live in Maryland USA and have since winter 2016, I love it here so far! I’m originally from Texas but growing up my family moved around a lot so it was never really home to me. Who has been your greatest influence? I actually have two artists who’ve influenced me the most, the first being a guy by the name of Guardin and a controversial rapper known by the name xxxtentacion. Both are incredibly positive people who feel their feelings and encourage their audience to do the same while also being advocates for mental health. What is your latest and greatest? My latest and greatest is an upcoming single called All To Myself, it’s set to release September 24th and it will be the opening of a new chapter for me. Up until now I never had a professional look or quality I could be happy with but after making some changes I’m finally starting to see the results I’ve always wanted. What are you most looking forward to this year? I’m most looking forward to the release of my upcoming album This House Is Not A Home, it was originally going to be released on July 31st but I pushed it back due to some unfortunate circumstances. I’m hoping to release it this winter and alongside it tell the story of my family losing our home and having to live in a hotel for the past 3 and a half years. It’s been difficult but I feel everything leading up to now was meant to happen to give me a new perspective on life. What would you say to your younger self if you could? If I could say anything to my younger self I’d say to not be so hard on yourself, I always felt like I was falling behind my peers growing up and therefore I would beat myself up about it but the truth is everybody moves at their own pace. We need to learn to be patient with ourselves and not have so many expectations. Just do what you’re doing and try not to care or focus on anybody else. On a scale from ONE to TEN, how driven are you? I’d say on a scale of 1-10 of how driven I am would be about an 8 or a 9 depending on the day. If I want something I put my mind to it and I won’t stop until it’s mine. Even if that means continuously outgrowing myself and working harder and harder by the day, if that’s what I have to do I’ll do it. For instance, right now I want to make it as an artist and I dropped out of college to dedicate 100% of myself to it. I have no idea if it’s going to work out but I have to try. When you're not feeling motivated how do you get back on track? Honestly if I don’t feel motivated I get myself back on track by forcing myself to do whatever it is I need to be doing. I’m someone who struggles heavily with depression and bipolar type 2 so often I find myself in this loop of either being super on it or super out of it. Laying in bed, not wanting to do anything and when I get like that it’s best to just force myself to get things done. It’s easier said than done but overtime you get used to it. Another thing I do if that doesn’t work is I get myself inspired. Inspiration is everywhere and it can be taken from anything. I mostly just look at other people’s journeys and see how far they’ve come and remind myself that if I want to get there too I need to be working. Nothing comes to you; you have to chase it. How much do you believe LUCK plays a role in success? I think luck plays a little part in it but also not really. When people see people succeeding often they'll blame it on luck and completely invalidate the work someone’s put into it. You can’t get anywhere with anything unless you put the time and dedication into it. Luck can help under the right circumstances but for the most part it all comes from the amount of time you’ve put into something. For example if I work hard at promoting myself and my songs they’ll get heard however if they get heard by someone from a label or someone who’s in a position to help me reach my goals then that would be lucky.
