We can't wait for your new single, "At Last I See The Light", Bexsta!!!

Hi Bexsta! Great to have you here!

Heya! Thanks for having me!

How does your music affect the world?

It mirrors life for many but gives a ray of hope and sunshine at the same time. My music is relatable to many out there. It’s realistic and is a reminder to keep pushing one step in front of the other even at your hardest times.

Who has been your biggest cheerleader as an artist?

Lady Gaga for her fusion of music and art. Her storytelling and love of people.

Tell us about your latest release!

I wrote, "At Last I See The Light" in early 2019. I wrote it at a time when I was needing to be reflective of my own life and when I myself was in the middle of practicing some self-help techniques. I found writing this song therapeutic but hard. This song is absolutely about my own life and the things I’ve had to work on overcoming since childhood after a stand-alone childhood trauma. Yet it is dancey and even though it has its dark moments, for me, it is a celebration of how far I’ve come. I wanted to share it as I feel many will be able to relate to it in whatever makes sense for them and I truly want this to be a motivational song for them to take with them if it helps.

What are you most looking forward to this year?

Getting back to some normality. I have a young family myself and for them to get back to being social and to have some freedom is what I am looking forward to most.

Musically though, I am looking forward to releasing more music, and hopefully seeking out opportunities to perform my music at events would be amazing!

How do you find peace in an often chaotic world?

I look at my children and remind myself of what really does matter and how lucky I am to have them. I have become extremely fond of online sleep meditation (the ones that go on for ages) because they are supposed to chat away to your unconscious mind which to be honest, any extra help and positive vibes I can get during these chaotic times I’m glad for. I really do think it helps me. It’s like somehow my mind is calmed by the inner voice that must have been listening to the meditation whilst I slept. Blows my mind!

What does "making it" mean to you?

“Making it” in music for me means reaching many listeners who enjoy my music, relate in whatever way, and who are possibly in some way supported during a tricky time.

What have been some of your greatest achievements as an artist?

Feeling like I have the freedom to create lyrically and musically. Then to represent it visually. I have really enjoyed collaborating with people remotely across the globe.

To have had my first single "Sacrilege" played on the radio.

Receiving my Bexsta Music Merch Hoody! I love it! I painted the front image myself and it has come out lovely as the hoody image. (This will be this year’s album cover) Message me if you would like one!

Having a digital promotion poster displayed in my local town of Doncaster, South Yorkshire for my first single release.
