Get to Know Renee Marie!

Where are you located now and where are you originally from?

I’m a born and raised San Diegan, who grew up in a close knit neighborhood with lots of family and friends around. I still currently live in San Diego, CA and study music in Pacific Beach.

Who has been your greatest influence?

I have always been influenced by Miley Cyrus. As silly as it sounds, I loved her when she was Hannah Montanta and loved her even more when she chopped her hair off, and defied the "Disney Channel Rules." She's an always evolving person who stays true to herself.

Tell us more about Blueberry Satin! What inspired the song?

Blueberry Satin came about after months of working over zoom during covid. Taylin (my vocal coach), Gregg (my writing partner), and I were all so burnt out, that we decided to write about something so casual such as a fruit. We wanted this song to be airy and light, reminding us of brighter times ahead. Taylin and I came up with the lyrics and melody, while Gregg came up with chord structure.

Are you performing LIVE soon?

At the moment, I'm not performing live, but it is one of my main goals for 2022! Now that I'm releasing songs, I want to spread my music to as many people as I can.

What are you most looking forward to in 2022?

My coach and I have several songs almost ready for release, and we plan on putting those out throughout the year. I also plan on performing live, growing my audience, and expanding my artistry. I’ve planted a lot of seeds in 2021 that I want to see grow in 2022.

What would you say to your younger self if you could?

If I could talk to my younger self, I would tell her not to listen to the people who told her that "music wasn't a real career." Too many artists are told that, and it discourages them from taking steps to becoming who they want to be.

How can we stay up to date with you?

I have a mailing list on my website where I keep everyone updated on my day to day life and music. You can up here: Here are also the links to my socials:
