Where are you located now and where are you originally from?
Born and raised in Frisco, Texas!
Who has been your greatest influence?
I truly grew up listening to all genres of music. Strong female voices have always had a major influence on me. Stevie Nicks, Joni Mitchell and Lady Gaga have all inspired me. I’m also greatly inspired by The Beatles. I love the whimsical nature of some of their songs
What is your latest and greatest?
I have two songs out right now, “Passenger Seat” and “Happy 22.” “Happy 22” has punk rock vibes and has been compared to Avril Lavigne which makes my heart melt. I have a new single coming September 24th called “Juliet” and it's Indie-Folk Rock. I'm under the umbrella of indie pop, but I have a musical theater and acting background. I don't try to conform to any genres, I really just let each song tell me what it is and I follow its lead. For me, songwriting is one of my favorite avenues for storytelling.
What are you most looking forward to this year or even moving into 2022:
I'm looking forward to the world opening back up! I can’t stop crying through live concerts right now. I've missed them! I also cannot wait to perform for live audiences again.
What would you say to your younger self if you could?
Being different is cool! Let go of the pressure and do what makes your heart happy.
On a scale from ONE to TEN, how driven are you?
Ten!! I graduated high school a full year early because I knew what I wanted to do. I auditioned for college at age 16 and then went on to attend college at age 17. I decided to leave college when I had the opportunity to perform professionally. My initial college experience kept me from being able to pursue some incredible opportunities that had been coming my way, so I knew I had to go ahead and make the leap.
When you're not feeling motivated how do you get back on track?
It’s definitely hard to do. Especially during these weird times. For me, the people in my life mean the most. It’s all about having a good support system and I can always rely on them to help me back up.
How much do you believe LUCK plays a role in success?
I think it plays a part but it’s not the whole answer. Luck without work and perseverance is like trying to win the lottery without buying a ticket.
