Where are you located now and where are you originally from?
I’m located in Nashville, TN! I came here to attend college at Lipscomb University and I’m originally from Tampa, Florida.
Who has been your greatest influence?
Oh wow, there’s so many people I look up to musically! I’d say my biggest influences were my dad and grandmother. They both introduced me to music and we play together when we can. My younger sister is also a big part of my musical journey - we auditioned for America’s Got Talent back in the day so great memories.
What is your latest and greatest?
My single “Happy Endings” came out in 2021 after about 6 months of perfecting. I’m really excited about my most recent single, “What you Gonna Do” as well - the goal is to release a full EP or album soon after a few more singles.
Are you performing LIVE soon?
At the moment, I don’t have any full band shows coming up. I’m looking to book a few rounds soon so keep an eye out for those on my socials!
What are you most looking forward to in 2022 after experiencing 2 years of the pandemic?
I’m looking forward to being productive and reconnecting to my passion for music despite what’s going on in the world and my personal struggles with my health.
A major lesson I learned through this pandemic is switching from a hustle mindset to one of self-healing. After graduating in 2020, I really took on too much stress and ignored many health concerns that led to a major surgery later on.
Know that you do have permission to take time for yourself and to focus on filling your cup so that you have the energy to give to others.
What would you say to your younger self if you could?
Love is not a conditional thing. No matter whether you’re convenient or inconvenient to someone, true love lasts through any obstacles.
On a scale from ONE TO TEN, how driven are you?
Music is what I’ve always wanted to do. I’ve known it since I was 2 years old. I’d say for that reason I’m a 10 though I will hit a rocky patch every so often.
When you’re not feeling motivated how do you get back on track?
When I get down in the dumps, the biggest thing I like to do is take a deep breath and reach out to friends and family for community. It refuels me!
How much do you believe LUCK plays a role in success?
In this industry, it’s quite a wild card. You can do all the right stuff but if the timing doesn’t line up sometimes it doesn’t happen. I do think it mostly comes down to the team you surround yourself with and work ethic.
