Get to Know Lana Blue!

Where are you located now and where are you originally from? I am currently located in New York City. Originally from Old Bridge, New Jersey Who has been your greatest influence? Taylor Swift has been my greatest role model , artist and songwriting influence since I was 10 years old. What is your latest and greatest? My latest and greatest is my next single “Ms. Mysterious” which drops October 22nd. Some of the lyrics are “I’ll be in a different city thinking about you..Ms Mysterious you’re good on your own. But I will wait if you want me to”

It’s actually a love song about no one in particular. I got the idea whilst imagining myself on tour , independent in my goals and flying high from city to city. I like the idea of having someone special to think about while I’m riding through, looking forward to seeing them again but understanding that we are both good on our own. I think that’s the most romantic thing, both you and your significant other putting yourself first but having a mutual understanding that you are patiently waiting for eachother. Are you performing LIVE soon?

October 26 in New York City and some TBD dates in Nashville What are you most looking forward to in 2022? Working on my album, modeling more for brands I believe in, living in New York City with my 2 dogs, and growing in my relationship with my girlfriend Amanda. How did you deal with all the changes in the past two years that the music industry has gone through? Growing my instagram community and branding my content has definitely helped me in the music industry. It helped me gain more opportunities and make connections online. Considering both the pandemic, and how online marketing has evolved, becoming confident with social media networking has been crucial. What would you say to your younger self if you could? I would tell my younger self to stop isolating myself, and stop putting a time stamp on my goals. Learning everything hands-on, and making mistakes is necessary. Putting out good into the world, and supporting others first is the best way to get positivity back to you. Before you know it, you’ll have a community of sustainable friendships and work relationships. On a scale from ONE to TEN, how driven are you? I0 definitely do. I have a drive to get what I want or die trying. Pursuing this career choice requires a headstrong intuition, and adaptability. Even when things take a wrong turn or seem stagnant, I love what I do enough to make it work. When you're not feeling motivated how do you get back on track? I watch performances or interviews of my favorite artists like Hayley Williams, Phoebe Bridgers and Snail Mail. Sometimes I revisit movies/ art or places that sparked inspiration before. I’ll even study new material for new ideas. How much do you believe LUCK plays a role in success? Not much, I think success is earned for the most part.

I think when something feels lucky, you almost feel like you don't deserve it. I don’t want to feel that way about my success. It might seem like others are lucky, but they probably were doing something right to put them in alignment with success. Every path to breaking a career is unique. It’s your job to figure out what works for you. Links to any social /music account you want to share?
