Get to Know Dani Westlund!

Where are you located now and where are you originally from? I'm currently in Quincy, Massachusetts but we're all originally from Waltham, Massachusetts. Who has been your greatest influence? As a group it’s pretty much a hodge-podge stemming from general Classic Rock for the most part. We're each really inspired individually by acts like Gorillaz, Yo La Tengo, Phoebe Bridgers, Rilo Kiley and the Pixies. What is your latest and greatest? We just put out a song in August called “Freaks” available everywhere. Prior to that, our song “Glass” came out in October of last year where it was #1 on Boston Emissions Song of the Week for several weeks. Currently, we are hoping to get an EP out by the end of the year or early 2022! What are you most looking forward to this year? We are just stoked to be getting out on stage and performing again. We had so much lined up before the pandemic so it’s exciting getting back out there. When you're not feeling motivated how do you get back on track? We have definitely been feeling that throughout the pandemic. We didn’t have practice for quite some time but just getting back with everyone in the same spot and jamming really helps keep the motivation and creativity alive. How much do you believe LUCK plays a role in success? It’s definitely a factor and often times comes down to right place, right time, right people. I think it also primarily comes down to support. The people who appreciate what you're doing and want to see you succeed, spread your name and come to your shows. There are lots of bands out there in the local scene who maybe don't get the recognition and it ultimately comes down to who you have around you and the support you get from your peers.
