CREATURE Hii is a Multi Genre Music Producer, Composer and owner of Hii Botanicals.

Thank you for taking this interview! How has the New Year been for you so far as an artist?

The New year has been great for me. I've gotten so much joy the more we are moving out of the pandemic the more I have gotten to reconnect with nature and people. Which is what I needed!

Can you tell us how you've transformed from the beginning to now as an artist?

In the beginning I wanted to be Beyonce. I wanted to show the world I was a triple threat and queen of the alternatives. I was very nervous and slow in the beginning of my music journey . It's been a long journey for female music producers to get true recognition. But now i'm embracing that I can still be a Powerful artist as a Music Producer.

How did you come up with your latest project?

It was a project that I was trying to have come out for valentines but it wasn’t true to where I was at with the idea of love. We all have pain or have our own past with a type of “struggle love” but I couldn’t do that to Valentines. So that project was definitely manifested by a relationship experience of my own.

Where are you from originally?

I'm from Austin, Texas Born n’ raised

Where do you live now?

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Do you think where you live impacts how your music is made?

Not at all, I think if I was younger it would have because I would be more impressionable and stuck on a trend.

What was the inspiration to make music your career?

My inspiration to make music my career was very natural over time. I grew up wanting to be the biggest pop star. When I got older that faded away I got distracted by hardships but came out of that by finding my love for Music production.

How do you want to shape your career?

I want to shape my career around my lifestyle. If my music can lead me to living in a forest, being financially free, and at peace with myself I will follow that direction.

Do you work on a tight timeline always or do you go with the flow when it comes to your music?

I go with the flow for Music but because I run a Sound Healing channel (Hii Botanicals) and also my music as Creature Hii. My Flow is pretty Consistent with weekly drops.

How did your latest title of your music come to be?

“Struggle Love” came about a very disturbing ending of a relationship. It took me a while to let go and I truly didn’t want to. The person I loved wasn’t the same person anymore, and I didn’t accept it. So I was okay with the mistreatment. I waited on a change that wasn’t gonna happen. Thankfully I had a breaking point/closure but I know a lot of people who don’t. They will struggle for years trying to make a certain Love work again.

Is it hard to let go of the music when it is done?

Do you feel an emotional attachment with your music? I very much feel an emotional attachment with my music. My music keeps me grounded no matter how much it changes and grows being able to find myself again when I jump back into my music journey.

How would you describe your music in one word to someone who hasn't listened to it yet?

I would describe my music as an orgasm with many influences , there is some point in a song that will open your eyes for sure.

Where do they go to listen NOW?

My music is streaming on all platforms.

What has been the best fan reaction to your music?

The last big fan reaction that hit me was on Instagram , they wrote “ I love how honest you are with your growth and mental health, I can see that every decision you make musically is authentic”. That hit me so hard because sometimes it's very hard for me to keep putting out music in these different genres knowing that my audience is mainly looking for a certain house/dance/pop vibe.

Is there anything exciting coming up for you?

I'm releasing a EP called Virgin soon! I'm so excited because it's my first time diving this deep into instrumentation.

Are you performing the song anywhere LIVE?

I don't have a live performance on the books yet for this project but definitely be on the lookout !
