Be Inspired with Vonderella Force

Where are you located now and where are you originally from?

I am located in the Bronx, New York and I am originally from Queens, New York.

Who has been your greatest Influence?

My greatest influence has most definitely been Lil’ Kim aka Queen Bee aka The Problem in Prada. I was first introduced to her in 1996 when Hardcore came out. My mom had just remarried, and my uncle happened to have the CD. My mom, a devout Christian, barely listened to secular music at the time. She didn’t curse or drink. On that night, however, I distinctly remember my mom laughing hysterically (she was a little tipsy) as the intro to Lil’ Kim’s groundbreaking album was playing. I’ve been hooked ever since.

What is your latest and greatest?

My latest and greatest happens to be my upcoming single “Like This (Pull Up)”. The official music video is releasing soon as well as the single. Friday is going to be a big day.

Are you performing live soon?

I am very much looking forward to my first live performance. I don’t have any dates set yet, but I’m anticipating a debut performance in the coming months.

What are you most looking forward to in 2022?

In 2022, I plan on releasing videos for my songs. I have over 70 songs so I’m looking forward to picking which ones deserve a visual. I’ll let the fans and others choose, most likely.

How did you deal with all the changes in the past two years that the music industry has gone through?

In the past two years, I’ve been in my own “artist development” phase. While I was releasing music via SoundCloud, I mainly focused on what kind of artist I want to be when the world opens back up. Seeing how things are trending more virtual, I may be coming along at the perfect time as far as safety. Virtual concerts are very cool.

What would you tell your younger self?

Dear younger self, GO FOR IT! If it’s in your heart, DO it. Time is not your friend lol.

On a scale from 1-10 how driven are you?

On a scale from 1-10, I am at a 9 right now. Fear and anxiety about the potential perils of fame try to knock me down to a 7; but, if there’s anything I’ve consistently done throughout my life, I definitely know how to keep going.

When you are not feeling motivated how do you get back on track?

When I’m not feeling motivated, I move on to another task/song/project. Work gets done. I find it very frustrating when I get bogged down on a melody or bar or aesthetic. Instead of wasting that energy or time, I move on to another part of the song or project.

How much do you believe Luck plays a role in success?

I don’t believe in luck at all. I believe opportunity knocks and if you’re ready, you’re ready. If not, prepare and wait on the next one.
